Check, removal and installation of the sensor of temperature

Both sensors of temperature take temperature of cooling liquid and the soaked-up air and transfer it to the control unit. The NTC element (NTC — Negative temperature coefficient) reducing the resistance at increase in temperature contains sensors. At damage of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid the control unit accepts as a calculated value resistance at a temperature of +80 °C. Malfunction of sensors at a low external temperature and the cold engine leads to complications at start of the engine and its unstable work.

 CHECK

1. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection of the corresponding sensor. Position of sensors is given in the subsection "Removal".
2. Attach an ohmmeter to contacts of the sensor.
3. Measure resistance and compare it to a preset value. Preset values are given in Specifications.
4. If resistance does not correspond to set, remove the sensor.
5. Fix the sensor by a wire and lower it in the container with water so that it did not concern walls. Cool water with ice and after that heat on a plate. At the set temperature take out the sensor and measure resistance between contacts. If resistance does not correspond to set, replace the sensor.
6. If the sensor is serviceable, attach the voltmeter between the plug of the sensor and weight.
7. Include ignition. The required value: about 5 Century. If there is no tension, check serviceability of a wire of food.
8. Check a weight wire if it is available.
9. If wires and sensors of temperature as it should be, malfunction it is necessary to look for somewhere in other place.

Removal of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For a liquid effluence exception at removal of the sensor previously partially merge it, address the Section Cooling System Liquid Replacement. Check of frost resistance of a cooler. Visual check of the cooling system.
11 Uncover the engine at the soaking-up pipe and disconnect at a head of cylinders accession for ventilation of a case as it is described in the Section Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline.

2. The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is under the inlet pipeline in a forward part of the engine (shooter on an accompanying illustration).

3. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection also disconnect the sensor.

 

 INSTALLATION

1. Screw temperature sensor with a new sealing ring and tighten its moment 20 Nanometers.
15 Join shtekerny connection, record it a clip.
16 Fix a hose of ventilation of a case at a head of cylinders. Establish an engine cover.
17 Fill system with liquid and remove from it air, address the Section Cooling System Liquid Replacement. Check of frost resistance of a cooler. Visual check of the cooling system.
18 Pass on the car and check tightness of connection of the sensor of temperature. If necessary tighten connection.
19 Consider contents of memory of malfunctions of the DME block. After elimination of malfunctions clear memory.
Removal of the sensor of temperature of the soaked-up air
20 Unscrew screws of fastening and remove a branch pipe of a butterfly valve, address the Section Removal and installation of a branch pipe of a butterfly valve.

Do not disconnect the drive of gas and hoses of cooling liquid of heating of a butterfly valve.

2. Press the lock button (shooter on an accompanying illustration) on temperature sensor. At the same time take out the sensor from the inlet pipeline down.


 INSTALLATION

1. Fix temperature sensor with new laying by effort of 20 Nanometers.
2. Join shtekerny connection, fix the plug a clip.
3. Establish a branch pipe of a butterfly valve, address the Section Removal and installation of a branch pipe of a butterfly valve.
4. Put on the soaking-up hose and fix it by the buckle.
5. Remove these memories of malfunctions of the DME block. After elimination of malfunctions remove data from memory.
