Removal of air and filling of a hydraulic system of the power steering with liquid

Air needs to be deleted from a hydraulic system if it was opened. Fill system surely only with new liquid since even small pollution can lead to violations in its work.

Types of the applied oils are given in Specifications. Use of other ATF oils has to be coordinated with the representative of BMW.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn off an oil tank stopper on the idle engine.

2. Start the engine on single turns. At once fill in oil to the mark MIN (2). Address an accompanying illustration.

Do not start the pump without oil.

3. Slowly turn a steering wheel to the left and to the right twice against the stop.
4. Again check oil level. If necessary add
5. Stop the engine and check oil level.
6. Add oil to the MAX (1) level. Add oil small doses. The general capacity of system makes 1.2 l.
7. Close the tank a stopper.
8. Level of cold oil has to be between the marks MIN and MAX in the index of level. Cold oil is understood as oil at a temperature of +20 °C.
