Removal and installation of the lever of gear shifting

 REMOVAL

1. Strongly pull a lever head up.

2. Disconnect the protection cover of the lever from the central console and remove it from the lever.

3. Lift and install the car on supports. From below remove a lock bracket (4) and remove a switching bar. Remove on both sides of a washer (5).

4. Put from below at the switching lever a tsapfovy wrench (for example, special BMW 251110 tool) and turn it on a corner 90 ° counterclockwise. Remove upward a hinge casing.

5. Disconnect the protection cover from a body and the console of switching and take out together with the lever upward. Disconnect a collar of a quencher of fluctuations if it is available, at the lever of switching and remove it.


 INSTALLATION

1. Grease spherical inserts of the lever of switching with plastic lubricant "Kluber Polylub GLY 801".

2. Install the switching lever with a spherical insert so that the pad or an arrow on an insert showed in the direction of a finger, i.e. in the direction of the movement.

3. Press an insert the screw-driver from above in the holder so that pads were distinctly latched.
4. Implant a finger of draft of switching with washers into the lever. Establish a stopper. Lower the car on wheels.
5. Fix the protection cover. At the same time insert an internal edge over the switching lever, and external into a body cut.
6. Establish a quencher of fluctuations and fix by a collar. Fix a cover with the protection cover.
7. Install a head on the lever and strongly press it.
