Removal, check and installation of the electromagnetic traction relay

At damage of the electromagnetic traction relay the gear wheel of a starter does not enter gearing with a gear wreath of a flywheel that does not allow to start the engine.

1. Install the gear shifting lever in neutral situation.

2. Connect an auxiliary cable the plug 30 (a thick positive cable) and the plug 50 (the thin cable going to the ignition lock) at a starter. The gear wheel has to be pushed forward without rotation of a starter.

3. If it does not occur, remove a starter and replace the traction relay.

1. Remove a starter and repeat the check described above by means of the automobile rechargeable battery. As a wire to the plug 50 of a starter it is possible to use a starting cable. If the traction relay works without start of a starter, starter needs to be taken to repare.
2. If the traction relay does not work, remove it and replace.

1. Grease a dividing joint (F) with sealant. Address an accompanying illustration.

2. Connect the traction relay to a fork in a starter and fix by bolts.

3. Fix a wire of the traction relay.

4. Again check a starter as it is described above.

5. Establish a starter.
