Removal and installation of valves

All models

If elements of the mechanism of distribution are used again, they need to be established on former places. For an exception of an error of detail it is necessary to store as appropriate.

REMOVAL

1. Remove a head of cylinders, address the Sections Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline and Removal and installation of a head of cylinders . 2. Remove the camshaft, address the Section Removal and installation of the camshaft.
3. Press a plate of the valve and remove crackers. For compression of valvate springs it is possible to use standard adaptation. Address an accompanying illustration.
4. Unclench a spring and remove a plate from above, spring and a plate from below.
5. Special pincers remove a maslootrazhatelny cap. It is possible to use the tool 791-5 or a stripper to this purpose 791-2 HAZET. On an illustration the BMW tool is shown. Address an accompanying illustration.
6. Take out the valve from a head of cylinders from the combustion chamber. 7. Remove the following valve.

Installation

Before installation of valves check guides. If necessary grind in saddles of valves, address the Section Processing of Saddles of Valves in a head cylinders/grinding in of valves.

Sequence of installation:
   1 - valve,
   2 - maslootrazhatelny cap,
   3 - lower plate,
   4 - valve spring,
   5 - top plate,
  6 - crackers.

INSTALLATION

1. Remove sharp edges on an adjacent surface of crackers.

2. Slightly oil a core of the valve and a guide motive and insert the valve.
3. Slightly oil a maslootrazhatelny cap (1) and insert it by means of the corresponding mandrel against the stop. Address an accompanying illustration.

For an exception of damages of maslootrazhatelny caps before installation of a cap put the assembly plug (2) (BMW 11 1 960) over a valve core. If there is no plug, close a core an adhesive tape on surfaces of a prileganiye of crackers. After installation of a cap shoot the film.

4. Install the lower plate, then a spring. Replace the damaged elements.
5. Install the top plate.
6. Squeeze a spring adaptation and insert crackers. Slowly unclench a spring, monitoring the provision of crackers.
7. Install the following valve. Do not mix inlet and final valves.
8. Establish a head of cylinders, address the Sections Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline and Removal and installation of a head of cylinders .
